What do I do when my update erases my webpage?

    When I tried to install the update for WordPress 4.0 I received this message:

    Warning: require(/home/content/45/7555845/html/wordpress/wp-includes/session.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/45/7555845/html/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 122

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/45/7555845/html/wordpress/wp-includes/session.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/45/7555845/html/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 122

    And now I cannot access my content. Help, please!!!!!! Our url is: socaljournalism.org (NOT herbsthandbook.wordpress.com)

  • I’m afraid you’re in the wrong forum. This support forum is for free WordPress.com blogs. You appear to have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
