What do I do when "parent" does not appear in the page attributes window?

  I am using template Twenty Eleven for Pomegranate Guild (not published yet).
  I do not have the parent page option showing in my page attributes window. As as result I cannot create nested pages. I have a screen shot of the situation, but cannot share through this support service.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You cannot create nested pages because you don’t have pages: the option won’t show if the pages are drafts or private.

  thank you. (It would be helpful for the nesting to be available prior to publication for the purpose of structuring). But we can create the nesting structure later.
