What do I get for my annual fee?

  Hi, I was just wondering if the £70.00GBP I’ve been quoted for a premium package includes the domain name I wanted and also hosting? Is there an option for email hosting too to match the domain name?

  The premium package does include a domain name and hosting. (just to be clear, every wordpress.com website includes hosting, even the free packages)

  As for e-mail hosting, WordPress doesn’t offer that directly, but there are several ways to get your new domain connected with e-mail. This article explains your options:

  Thanks for the fast response.
  What restrictions are in place with regards to the premium domain name? I only ask as when I’ve been searching elsewhere, I’ve seen certain domain names alone well exceed the £70.00 I’ve been quoted here for a complete package.

  So long as the domain name is available for registration, you should be able to have it included with your premium package. Note that if you are trying to register a domain that is very expensive somewhere else chances are it’s already owned by someone and therefore not freely available to register. In that case you would probably have to buy the domain name separately and then map it to your new site.

  Note: I believe you can still purchase the the premium package even if you’ve purchased the domain separately*–but you don’t get a discount.

  *this is a recent change so you may want to get confirmation on this point from a staff member, or a more experienced volunteer before you decide which way to go.
