what do i need

Hi. I want to have a blog that has a ‘landing page’. I want a menu on it that links to different pages. Each page will contain posts about my holiday that year. eg., Europe 2019, USA 2021, Australia 2022 etc.
I can work my way around wordpress but I don’t know what the best ‘theme’ or plan that will work for me is. I have a basic free plan at the mment, but it looks as though I can only have one posting page on it. I want multiple. And I would like them to be in reverse order – oldest to newest.
Is any of the above possible?

Hi Kellie,
You can use any theme for this, and any plan – there’s no limit to the number of posts and pages you can create on a site.
A site can only have one main posts feed, and that will always display all posts on your site with the most recent first.
But you can use categories to show specific posts on specific pages. The simplest way to do this is plain category pages (after assigning posts to a category you just add the category itself directly to the site menu).

But if you want your posts in chronological order, you’ll want to use the Blog Posts block, or the Display Posts shortcode on regular pages instead, as those two options allow you to reverse the order of your posts.
