What do the numbers represent on my "unofficial" share buttons?

I utilize the unofficial Twitter and Facebook share buttons at the bottom of each blog post. The support page indicates that the specific number of shares is only noted when using the official share buttons. What, then, is the number that is associated with my unofficial share buttons?

…the numbers are the times someone has clicked the button to share your post on Twitter or Facebook.
Right now this post:

has 2 Twitter Shares, and 19 Facebook Shares. That means two people shared your post using their Twitter account, and 19 used their FB account to share your work.

Open the ‘Totals, Followers & Shares’ box, and click on the ‘Shares’ tab. That might be what you’re looking for.

Hey, thanks but is there anyway to see who is sharing these posts? Also, does the count for these shares take a while to load? Because on my “Totals, Followers, and Shares” box the highest amount of shares on a post is four and I know that isn’t my highest number of shares.

As far as I know there’s no way to identify the person doing the sharing, no matter which buttons they’re pushing. If you click on the ‘Top Sharing Services’ number, it’ll show you which posts / pages have been shared, but that’s as far as it goes.
The two methods of sharing, from the buttons on your posts, and from “the standard share links” are counted separately. They do get updated fairly quickly… but, like any stats counter, they’re not exact.
