What do we gain if we fully move to WordPress

    Hello folks,

    Wordpress is a platform I like very much and intensively use its free form since 2010. By that time our site which has been build on this platform has brought us good business. However, there are several issues which we need to to resolve in order to continue. As we are no technical people and we do not understand the technical part of internet, at the moment we are looking for financially affordable solution with which to concentrate on what we do best – representing and providing our core services, and not caring too much on the various aspects of the technicality like:

    1. Site maintenance
    2. Site security
    3. Site back-ups

    As being the one who is responsible for proper site run I am seriously considering shifting from hostgator hosting to wordpress hosting.

    What we have under hostgator:

    1. We have two domains hosted there
    2. We have a mail service – our mails are created and also hosted there – if this is the proper wording
    3. We can manage our internet operation through hostgator

    However, several weeks ago our site has been injected with malware and compromised as a spammer site. As a result hostgator has blocked the site and we spend hours in reading and trying to find the problem and to clean it. Hostgator freed our website but we have the warning that if this happens again we will be forced to turn to a 3rd party to clean the site, which will cost us a lot of money.

    So my question is simple.

    If we turn to wordpress – professional or premium plans will we be able to:

    1. Feel secure and in case of problems shall we rely on wordpress to resolve them
    2. Shall we have our mails ending with our domain name somehow hosted in wordpress
    3. Do what extend shall we use SEO and sharing in order to maintain our site transparency

    I was looking for a phone number or chat but you do not have one so I rely on a quick reply from you
