What do you do if you’ve been flagged as a spammer?
-
I am new to blogging, and I just set up my blog last week. I pasted in some old posts that I had from a previous attempt at blogging, and I was happy to see that I was beginning to get hits. I had about 26 posts. Then the other day I decided to add tags. I was careful to give none of the posts more than six or seven tags, but all together it added up to over a hundred tags. I didn’t think this was a problem, since these were all distinct posts on my blog, but I think technorati – or whoever, read this as a huge mass of tags all at once… a spammer. My hits suddenly plunged to the single digits. Now what can I do to resolve this?

Don’t worry about it; if you read some of the other threads, you’ll see that there’s a problem with stats today. I don’t think that the tags are a problem AT ALL. I would wait till tomorrow and see if it’s still a problem then.

Don’t worry about Technorati. That place has been all messed up recently. They’ve been slow for weeks in keeping track of recent posts, and today they’ve lost my blog and my claim to it. I’ve pretty much quit paying attention to what they think of my “authority.” As long as Google treats me well, not much else matters — certainly not Technorati.

Oh, I see what you both mean about problems, and other people’s comments. I guess I’ll calm down, LOL. Thanks.

I have been inadvertantly spammed as a comment was incorreclty posted with only a link in it. Please de-spam. Tks
