You may want to look into responsive themes or themes with post-sliders as well. However, creating a site like the one you linked to will most likely require some effort and knowledge of how to work with images and probably CSS.
Before you purchase a site, I’d recommend start a free blog and create some posts with the art/images you’re working with and accompanying text, first. Then you can preview different themes. I don’t know about other folks, but working with my content helps me figure out what type of theme and display I want. Also, you can keep the blog private while you’re working with it and learning the WordPress.
