What does a post that comes up “xxxx ” Mean?

    According to my stats widget on http://www.davidtennantsdoctor.wordpress.com, someone in Bristol, UK, comes up as visiting my site, by accessing a post “xxxx++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++”

    OK, there is NO SUCH POST on my blog. As in none, nada, zip. Never has been.

    So…how can this visitor be landing on “XXXX++++++++++++++” when it DOESN’T exisit???

    It’s really weird!

    Anyone ever encounteedr something like this before….someone landing on your WordPress blog page, on a post that simply doesn’t exisit?

    Looking forward to any thoughts you might have on this.

    Thanks. When I googled “XXXX++++++++++++++++++++++++”, the only thing that came up was a gay porn site.

    Maybe it’s a spammer?

    It’s probably a spammer who put a link to your blog on his site so you’d come check him out. There’s a LOT of that going around.

    Incidentally, if someone or a company offers to put “links to your site on hundreds of high-quality websites” this is the kind of thing they’re talking about. They just spam people. They do this, and they leave spam comments directly. So never, ever pay for those services, they are always spam.
