    Hi!

It is my pleasure to assist you today!

You do not have to pay to launch your site.

To launch your site, first you will have to go to the wordpress.com settings panel.

Then, you will have to select launch your site under
    privacy settings.

After that, it will recommend that you buy the free plan, but you can click launch site and skip past the paid plan advertizement.

    Hi Storygenie5,
Good to hear from you and thanks a million for your guidance. After following what you said, I tried logging into the website and this is what happened. I do not see where to attach the error message but it says, “Ooop! That page can’t be found”, then, “It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe you try a search”. I gave the link/address to a colleague who couldn’t access it too. What could I be doing wrong?

    Hi again!

    Thanks for writing back.

If you are getting this error message, I would strongly incurrage you clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Have you done this yet?

Yes, I have cleared the browser but no change. I would have loved to add the screenshot but I don’t see where to do that here.
The menu and the title(the top part) and the bottom are displayed. In between appears the Ooop! and then a space for search. But when I click the menu items, they open up but I wonder if that is how it is supposed to function. I can’t see the feedback place for example.

    Hi Julius,

“Ooop! That page can’t be found”, then, “It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe you try a search”.

The homepage should be set to display either the latest posts or a static page. This can be done at Customize > Homepage Settings. When you do this, that message will disappear.

I would have loved to add the screenshot but I don’t see where to do that here.

See the Making a Screenshot support page, and its Sharing your Screenshot section.

I can’t see the feedback place for example.

Your Feedback page has a message inviting the visitor to leave a comment, or ask a question, but they can’t presently do that there. Two suggestions:

    1. Insert a Form Block into the page content, as described in Form Block support page, choosing the Contact Form type.
    2. Enable comments on the page, as described in the On a Post or Page subsection of the Enable/Disable Comments section of the Comments support page. Comments are disable by default on static pages.

You may choose either or both of the above options.
