What does No Copyright Infringement Mean

Hi. What does no copyright infringement mean? I notice that on some Youtube videos it says no copyright infringement intended so that does mean that you can’t use or post that video anywhere else due to copyright

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And also when I try to embed certain youtube videos it says embedding disabled. What does that mean

Probably not the correct forum to ask this. But I tried my best to provide you some answer.

For your first question, please read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_infringement

For the second option, YouTube Video embedding disabled means the owner of the video disabled the embedding option. That mean you cannot view YouTube video outside of YouTube.com

  • Hi there,

Any content someone creates is protected by international copyright law, meaning you can’t re-post or re-use it without the owner’s explicit permission. The fact that the owner put it online does not imply permission that you can re-use it, and if you re-use content without permission you are breaking the law.

Some people think adding a notice saying “No infringement intended” helps them get around this, but that notice actually has no value at all. The fact is, they’re re-using content they don’t own without the owner’s permission, and should the owner decide to enforce their rights that content can be taken down, among other consequences.

The link wdn2020 gave above is a good resource for general info, but as this is a legal matter I recommend you consult a lawyer who specialises in copyright law if you need more detailed explanation. You can read WordPress.com’s stance on copyright here:
