What does Standard mean?
-
Hi,
I saw this thread has been sort of answered before, but it was in computer language which I’m not that good at..so can someone tell me what “standard” means if it is written next to your post? I havent done anything different to these 2 posts out of all my others, but they say this next to them.
What I want to know is, is this bad and do I need to do anything about it, or is it just a quirk that I can leave? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, sorry, it is on my dashboard, in the “All Posts” list – two of the posts have “standard” written next to them by the title. As far as I’m aware, I haven;t done anything different to these posts, and they dont look any different when I look at the blog, but I wondered if it may be a problem.

Check your Theme Options: do you have the option of more than one kind of post format? Some themes have Asides, Standard, Image, etc. If your theme is one of those, all it means is that’s a regular blog post.

It only has colour scheme and site layout options on Theme Options – it’s just odd that it only says it on two posts when I haven’t done anything different..
-
Ah, but you DO have the option for Featured posts, rather than Standard: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/thememin/

Yep thats true..but the other posts (that dont have standard written next to them) don’t have featured images either, they’re the same layout etc..weird.

I do think that “standard” maybe a reference to post formats, but your theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard

Ah I didn’t know that, thanks for that info, and thanks for the previous answers..I think you’re right that it’s just some kind of post formatting..
