What does this link mean?

  Hi guys….
  I know this is not smart but i got to ask….
  Most of the links I have seen are at the format
  domainname/?product_cat=xxxx

  But I saw this format today

  domainname/product/some_page_name

  What is the difference between the generation of the pages?

  I searched on pages ->all pages but there was no some_page_name page.

  Where is some_page_name really located and how is it created?

  Any help would be really appreciated
