What Does This Mean When Trying To Publish A Blog Post?

  That method is not allowed.

  Hi there,

  Do you have cookies enabled in your browser? It looks like you’re using Chrome as your browser, which means you can check those settings with these steps:

  1. Open Chrome’s settings page (you can visit chrome://settings/ in Chrome to get there)
  2. Click “Show advanced settings…” at the bottom of the page
  3. Under Privacy, click the Content Settings… button
  4. Under Cookies, check which setting is selected.
  5. The recommended setting is “Allow local data to be set (recommended).” That allows cookies, which are used on many sites including WordPress.com to make sure everything works correctly. If you have “Block sites from setting any data” selected, and you want to keep that setting, please be sure to add an exception for [*.]wordpress.com by clicking the Manage exceptions… button there.

  If that doesn’t fix it for you, please let me know!

  Thank you for those details! Do you have any browser extensions installed? You can check those by pasting this address in Chrome’s address bar:

  chrome://extensions/

  If you do have extensions installed there, please temporarily disable them and see if you can publish a new post that way. If you can, you can re-enable your extensions one by one to find the one that is causing trouble.

  If you don’t have any extensions installed, or if disabling them doesn’t fix the problem, please let me know.

  I got 3 extensions but they are already disabled :(

  Are you using WordPress.com from your computer at home? If you can, please try going to another location with a different internet connection (a café, a library, etc.) and see if you are able to post to your blog from there. If the problem isn’t coming from your browser settings or extensions, there may be an issue related to your internet connection — this will help us tell if that is the problem.
