What does this setting do?

I would like my links to be public, without being passed through a referrer hider.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

When you add a link to your post, the rel=”noreferrer” attribute is automatically added if your blog is set to private (timothyb196.wordpress.com is currently private). This prevents referrer information from being leaked. For example, say you link to an article on CNN.com within your site. If your site was public and someone clicked that link, you would appear as a referrer on the CNN stats page. Since your site is private, we automatically add the attribute to hide the referrer. If you change your site to public (Settings > Reading), this attribute will not be automatically added.

Ah, that sounds complicated. But I think I understand. Thanks.

No problem! I apologize if I made it sound more complicated than necessary. If you need anything else or have any additional questions, please let me know!
