What exactly happens when changing username

    Hi there!

    1. I wanted to know, what happens with my wordpress followers, or the followers per email subscription, if I change the adress of my blog?

    I mean the username, if I change it from amatulhafeez.wordpress.com to somethingelse.wordpress.com

    2. Am I right the old adress will deliver a 404 not found? Is there any possibility to make a 301 to the new adress for a while?

    If wordpress itself does not do it, can I tell google somehow else that the name has changed?

    Once you change your username, you will have to purchase a site redirect upgrade to redirect your traffic. Staff can transfer your followers for you.
