what exactly happens when I download my posts

  I’m investigating how to transfer the content of one blog to another. In the import/export instructions, it’s recommended to first download content.
  What happens to the original blog when I do that? Where is the downloaded content stored?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  When you export the contents of your WordPress.com site, a file is downloaded to your computer. The original contents of your blog aren’t removed after you’ve exported the content. The file that’s downloaded to your computer is a duplicate.
