What format do my pictures have to be in?

  Hi :) I want to upload a photo from iphoto. It is in Jpeg format…It’s been awhile, but I used to be able to do it. I’m getting an error message now. Drat!

  What error message are you getting? How big is the file? How much room do you have left in your media library?

  Thanks for replying, Raincoaster. Right now I don’t know the answer to these questions. My blog is not full of pictures and other media….I’ll be surprised if I’m over a space limit. My camera is just a simple point and shoot, nothing fancy.

  You probably ran out of space because it doesn’t sound like you’re optimizing your images for the web. Never upload at more than 72dpi and why bother uploading a file too wide for your theme to display?
