What happened my 10GB space upgrade?

I renewed my 10GB space upgrade in May 2018 but now am erroneously receiving a notice that my disk quota is full. It looks like my premium upgrade (which I subsequently cancelled) has erased the earlier space upgrade..

Hi there,
We stopped selling stand-alone upgrades like the space upgrade around three years ago. When you upgrade to a plan that includes the same features as the stand-alone upgrade you own, that upgrade gets absorbed into the plan, else you’d have duplicate subscriptions on the site which can cause things to break.
When you upgraded to Premium you received an automatic discount for it due to the space upgrade you already owned, and that stand-alone upgrade was replaced by the space upgrade included in the plan. So when you then proceeded to cancel Premium, it also removed the extra storage space included in Premium.
I’ve restored the space upgrade to your account, as it was not refunded when you cancelled the Premium Plan, but please note if it expires or gets removed again it won’t be possible for us to add it back again.

Does this mean I cannot “upgrade” to the Personal plan which has a lower space allocation than I currently use?

As far as I know you should be able to upgrade to Personal, as that plan only adds a 3GB storage upgrade, so it shouldn’t duplicate or replace the 10GB upgrade you already have.
