What happened to my old and perfectly servicable site?

What happened to my site bentcops.org? According to the bloke that set it up for me the wordpress server that it was on was shut down. Was that statement true or have “dark forces” seen to its demise.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When I try to go to that site I’m redirected to http://rish.co.nz/suspended.page/ . You might want to contact that host.
The thing is, that blog was not hosted here at wordpress.COM, it was a self-hosted wordpress install on a third-party hosting site, so you will have to deal with – or try to deal with that webhost. Self-hosted wordpress blogs are supported at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ but this problem isn’t anything that wordpress has any control over. I’m afraid it’s all up to you and the bloke that set the site up for you.
If they have shut things down, then your blog stuff may be gone and unrecoverable unless you have been doing regular backups.

Is that a site or a blog?
After the demise of BentCops.org I repeated myself on this new thing. Only one cock-up that I know of, posts were changed to pages halfway down the menu bar because 16 replaced 1. It goes ok now but its not as pretty or quick as my old site.

Thanks for that Richard, good that one of us is clued up. I saved all my stuff so it was just a matter of (ages on dial-up) loading up this new site/blog. Cheers Jack.
