what happened to my photos?

  My photos have disappeared from my posts – they were there, there are place markers for them, but they are not linked to the posts (not in all cases, but in most recent posts)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Have you used all your free media storage space?
  Exactly where are the missing images hosted?
  Are they hosted on an image hosting service like Flickr or photobucket?
  Are your hotlinking to images on another site?
  Did you upload them into your Media Library?
  Did you delete them from the Media Library? If you do that then they cannot be displayed.

  In most cases like this the post I linked to above provides all the information needed to rectify the issues and Staff help is not needed. This blogger is hotlinking to non-existent image URLs in another blog and as there are no image URLs that produces 404 page not found error messages.

  Example: in the post http://lkonickiwordsandphotographs.wordpress.com/2014/08/02/the-old-neighborhood/
  we find this link 20140621 St Anne 42

  @timethief, I missed out the part about hotlinking. Thanks for pointing it out!

  It looks like the entirety of http://throughleahslens.wordpress.com/ was deleted. That could explain why most of the images are broken now.

  It looks like the entirety of http://throughleahslens.wordpress.com/ was deleted. That could explain why most of the images are broken now.

  The blog is still there http://throughleahslens.wordpress.com/ but the blogger is not linking to any image URLs that may be uploaded into it. If there were images in that blog and they have been deleted then deleting blog content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en
