what happened to my sidebar?

  I’m new. :) I switched my theme from twenty ten to twenty eleven, and now I have no sidebar. it’s not showing up on my home page or on the post page. Also I need to know how and where I can put a link to my etsy page?

  Hi there,

  Your sidebar appears just fine on your front page. Keep in mind that Twenty Eleven doesn’t show sidebars on single post pages.

  You can add a custom link to your navigation menu by using the Custom Menus feature at Appearance -> Menus.

  Thanks Chris. so, when I add more posts, my flickr widget and blogroll links will show up?

  I imported my blogger blog, and I still had none of the content I wanted. I even followed instruction to add url for etsy to custom menu, and that never showed up. :(

  I switched back to twenty ten for now. I’d rather have twenty eleven, but I want my flickr stream on the side, nad my blogroll, and I’d like my etsy thumbnails too. I guess I need to study more….unless someone can tell me what I need to do.

  When you switch themes, you may need to add the widgets back to the sidebar area.

  As for your menu, you have not yet assigned a primary menu at Appearance -> Menus in your Dashboard.

  thanks Mac, I DID do that. I thought that too…
  it actually says in the description that you have to choose ‘special styles’ and other options that I just couldn’t find. :(
  I think I have the menu set right in this template now.

  Hi Kelly,

  Your sidebar appears to be showing up properly and I see that you’ve added a custom menu. Are you all set or did you have any other questions?
