What happened to my widgets?

  I checked my site today and saw that the widgets have all been reset. I tried looking at the widgets panel in the admin panel but there were no widgets listed both on the active box and the inactive box. What should I do?

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

  WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress via their Codex and Support Forums.

  It’s possible that the widgets may still be in the Inactive Widgets section of Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard.

  If that doesn’t work, please contact the WordPress.org Support Forums.
