Images on my centuryhousemontessorischool.wordpress.com have seemed to vanish. It is only affecting the last few posts. Thanks.

Hello there! I do see that some images are missing in the Post:

Practical Life in the Casa classroom

I also see that you’ve deleted a great deal of images from your media library in the last several hours. Could you have accidentally deleted the images that should be attached to your post? I believe this may be the case, as I looked at the names of the broken images installed in your post — and they do not have corresponding image files in your media library.

If you want those images added back into the post, you’ll have to re-upload them to your library.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this. Many thanks!

Thanks for quick response. I deleted the photos, as I wasn’t able to upload any new ones. I will reload the photos, but when I edit the particular posts in question, should I delete the photos there before adding them into the post?
    Cheers, Julie

Julie, If the image name is exactly the same, you should be fine. Do a test with one image to begin:

    1. Click Media → Add New.
    2. Upload your image.
    3. Once the image is 100% loaded, click Library.
    4. Above the Bulk Actions drop down box, you’ll see links for ALL | Images | Unattached. Click Unattached.
    5. Next to the image name, click Attach. Then choose the name of the blog post on which you want the image to appear.

Return to you post and see if the image is back where it belongs. If it is, you can repeat the process — but you can upload all the images first, then go to the library to attach them to posts.

Please let me know how this goes, or if you need additional help with the process. Cheers!
