What happened to scrolling the text in the editor, but the menus staying fixed?

I noticed that WordPress has undergone some recent editing changes. I like the new ability to scale pictures with drag handles, that’s awesome! Great work.

However, this morning, I also noticed one thing that is DRIVING ME CRAZY! It used to be that there was a “window” for page content and that you could scroll in this window independently of scrolling the main “WordPress Editor” page. this meant I could always see the menu bars at the top of the page, and inserting media where I wanted it was easy.

Now, I’m finding that feature is gone; the whole editor page scrolls. That means if I’m way down on a new page, I have to scroll to the top and hit insert Media. It sounds trivial, but it is a huge pain the backside.

Have I done something wrong here? Did I turn off functionality by mistake, or is this now how the editor is configured. If it can be put back the old way, or if there’s an option to have the scrolling “text window”, that would be great.

    Thanks!
