What happened to the "MORE" command in setting up a blog post?

  What’s happened to the “MORE” tag for posts. I used to click the “more” icon and got a dotted line with more in it to denote where the “more” would appear in the post on my blog. But just as the edit gallery function mysteriously disappeared a couple of weeks ago, the “MORE” function has now disappeared. Anyone know any solution?

  That just drove me crazy too today. The <!–more–> does not appear in the Visual editor. It does appear in the Text editor and hopefully it will be there when I publish my draft posts. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Then we can find out if this is an intentional change by Staff or a bug. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  Hi there!

  I just checked both of the editors and I still have the icon for the more tag, second from the right on the top row of the visual editor:

  

  Do you not see this?

  @floridagator80 – are you having trouble editing your galleries? From the dashboard editor? Or from the homepage editor?

  I had problems a day or two ago with the More Tag not inserting at the cursor but showing up at the bottom of the Post –

  Not the icon … the line of dots and the word MORE that appears in the post where you place it. Now, instead of seeing where you place the MORE tag, you have to go to the text (not just visual) to make sure the tag is in place.

  Thanks for that clarification! I understand now. I just tested this out in both of our editors. I did see a slight delay in the line appearing in the editor, no more than a second, but it did still appear in both editors:

  

  

  Can you tell me which browser you’re using and the specific version? And is this in both editors or just a specific one?

  @auxclass – I haven’t heard of that issue since we fixed it a little while ago. Have you cleared your cache recently? What browser and version are you using? And which editor?
