What happened to the "you have repled" arrow in the "Notifications" area?

Normally I’m VERY pleased with your improvements, but what you’ve done with the “Notifications” area is not progress. I used to get an arrow indicating that I had replied to a particular comment, so a quick glance let me know what comments I had replied to. Now I have to go back to each post and scroll down through the comments to make sure I haven’t failed to reply to someone’s comment.
ALSO, this morning is the first time I tried to use your pop-up “chat” window. Three different times I started to type my above observation, but my text (and the window) just disappeared. The last time I saw the notice that the person on your end “had just stepped away.” You need to allow us to COMPLETE and SEND our chat messages, even if you have to RESPOND with “Our representative has just stepped away, but your comment has been received, and someone will get back to you.” VERY frustrating to realize that my chat message might “vaporize” if I’m not fast enough to “catch” the person on your end.

I’m sorry to hear about the troubles which you were having with chat. That’s not normal behavior and I’ll bring it to the attention of our Live Chat department.
In regards to the main reason that you contacted us, I can see what you mean and why it would be helpful to keep the “responded to” arrow in place. I will make that suggestion to the folks who have been working on our notifications bar update. Of course there is no guarantee that it will be re-integrated in to this new version, but I can promise that it is going to be put in front of them at least!
