What happenes to my link when I start using a domain?

    I am currently on the free plan, so all my links/post have mysubdomain.wordpress.
    I am going to go for a paid plan where I get my own domain name, but what happens to these links?
    As I shared lots of them on the internet, what happens when someone click one of these links, will they be directed to my ‘equivelent’ new domain page, or will they get 404?

    Also, the plans in my account showing in $, how do I change them to £?

    Hi there,
    Don’t worry visitors can visit your WordPress site using both – the subdomain.wordpress.com as well yourdomain.com, but the address they see on the address bar of the browser depends upon which domain is set to primary.

    FOR EXAMPLE:
    If you have registered a new domain example.com for your wordpress site example.wordpress.com and you have set example.com to be your primary domain. The visitors can visit your site using both the addresses, but they will see example.com on the address bar (as they are redirected from the example.wordpress.com subdomain to example.com).

    Thank you for your answers.
    In regards to the currency, that question is slightly different, he paid in different currency and he found that the exchange rate is different, but what I would like it to pay in £, like this one here
