What happens if I cancel Bluehost?

    Currently my domain and hosting is done by Bluehost.

    I don’t need a custom domain and just want everything managed by wordpress.

    What will happen if I just let my Bluehost account expire? What do I have to do on WordPress? I have just the paid “personal” plan.

    I’m a total idiot about blogging so specifics would be appreciated! Thank you.

    hi there,

    Currently my domain and hosting is done by Bluehost.

    This means you were using a self-hosted version of wordpress.org

    Wordpress.com and wordpress.org are two different things.

    If you buy a personal plan, then you can use a custom domain or purchase a new domain.
    If you want to use your old domain name then you need to transfer it WordPress.com from bluehost.

    You will lose all your old domain website files any custom emails and domain name access.
