What happens to a popular link in my blog if I merge it with another?

    I have a post on one of my wordpress blogs that gets a lot of hits each day (it’s my skylanders cake recipe/DIY: http://summeroffunner.com/2012/07/28/skylanders-portal-of-power-birthday-cake). I would like to merge this blog with one of my other blogs that I use more frequently (www.thelunchboxseason.com) for ease of use and so that I get more traffic on the latter. If I do so, however, and purchase the redirect function for summeroffunner, will people who link to my particularly popular page on the birthday cake be automatically redirected to its particular new home on the new blog or will they have to click a button in order to get there? ie will people who click on a link to that entry from, say, pinterest, be automatically redirected to that entry on its new home?
