What happens to exported blog?

  Hi,

  I have a .com domain with WordPress and plan to create another one. I want to export my current into the new one I create, but what happens to the blog after I export it to the new one? If my readers visit the old url, will the blog still be there although its exported to a new address?

  Creating an import file amounts to creating a copy of content. If you have domain mapping in place then all visitors will be seamlessly transferred between the dub-domain to domain links. The blog will still be there but as your visitors will be seamlessly redirected you can change the visibility of the blog you exported content out of to “private”.

  Hi,

  So I would have to purchase the domain redirecting for 12.00 for that to happen, or does exporting my blog simply redirect visitors?
