What happens to media if I stop paying yearly plan

    Hi there,
Just wondering what would happen to the photos (the photos that make up anything over the 1GB included in the free plan) that I have uploaded to the website if I stopped paying the yearly plan; would they all delete automatically? Or would they stay there anyways but I just can’t add any more?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

Here’s what you need to know:

    1. Storage Limit: On the free plan, WordPress.com offers 1GB of storage space. If your current usage exceeds this, you won’t lose your photos immediately after downgrading from a paid plan.
    2. Adding New Content: However, you won’t be able to upload new files until the total storage usage is brought back under the 1GB limit.
    3. Existing Content: Your existing photos and content will remain on the site. WordPress.com doesn’t automatically delete content when downgrading plans.
    4. Future Actions: If you need more space in the future, you would have to either delete some of your existing content to free up space or upgrade to a paid plan again.

For more detailed information, you can refer to WordPress.com’s Storage Space documentation.

Hope this clarifies your concern. Feel free to ask if you have more questions!
