  • Hi there,

When you delete a WordPress.com site, the site is immediately disabled, and visitors will just see a message that the site has been deleted. After 30 days, the site is purged from our servers, so at that point all content that was on the site is permanently deleted, and neither the content nor the address can be restored anymore after that time.

However, deleting your site won’t remove it from search engines where it’s already indexed, and it won’t remove copies of your content that’s cached at search engines, or other places like the Internet Archive (web.archive.org). To have your content removed there, you’d need to contact each service where it’s indexed/cached individually to request that. We have no ability to remove your site’s content from servers that we don’t control.

Let me know if you have any other questions about this.
