What happens to my site address after my upgrade plan expires?

    Hello,

    For my blog, I created lanesmates2lifemates.wordpress.com. However, I foolishly changed it to lanesmates2lifemates1.wordpress.com and cannot get the original blog name back per the URl recycling policy.

    Now, we are contemplating buying an upgrade plan and using the custom URL lanesmates2lifemates.com. After the 1 year, if we decide not to renew, what would the URL change back to? Would we be able to get the lanesmates2lifemates.wordpress.com that we originally owned and once had? Thanks.

    When you purchase a premium subscription and connect the custom domain lanesmates2lifemates.com to your site, you are connecting it to the site address lanesmates2lifemates1.wordpress.com. When in the future you do not renew the premium subscription and the custom domain, your site will fall back to lanesmates2lifemates1.wordpress.com, not lanesmates2lifemates.wordpress.com.

    lanesmates2lifemates.wordpress.com is gone forever as part of the site address change process that you did earlier.
