What Happens To Patterns If I Delete A Secondary Domain?
-
HI All!
Question regarding patterns… first the info leading up to my question… and I hope this makes sense… and I did check the support pages, but didn’t find anything to address this particular thing…
Recently I bought a new domain at dtprojktz.com…
My patterns can be accessed for editing at https://dtprojktz.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wp_block
I have since purchased the new domain – ziine.co – and made that domain my primary domain for this website.
I am considering in the future to delete the dtprojktz.com domain since all it does is now redirect to the new domain (maybe – not sure), as I can’t really think of a reason to keep holding on to it… but I’m not confident I understand how this would effect the website overall in terms of where I would then access my patterns. I know there is an alternate way to access the patterns while editing, but I prefer going to that page because it’s similar to accessing blog posts in the dashboard, and I find the patterns easier to manage from there.
As you can see my patterns are on the “dtprojktz.wordpress.com”, which was the free version of the website I originally acquired before I purchased the dtprojktz.com domain. My ziine.co domain was a secondary purchase made primary as already mentioned.
So, finally getting to the question: If I did decide to drop the dtprojktz.com domain, are my patterns still going to be accessed at the url I posted above (because the dtprojktz.wordpress.com free site still remains), or would the patterns switch over to something like https://ziine.co/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wp_block
I have a feeling I may have answered my own question, and that the url I posted will remain as is, and I apologize if I am wasting anyone’s time with this, but would appreciate confirmation before I do anything regarding dropping the original .com domain.
Thanks for your help!
