What happens to premium features if my subscription expires?

    I am currently making a website for a customer, a couple features they want require a premium subscription, if I buy a month of premium/business, make the changes, then let the subscription expire what happens to the changes I made? (Example, additional CSS). It really doesn’t seem worth it to pay $120 a year for 3 lines of code…

    The moment a plan expires, your site falls back to the features on the Free Plan.

    Hi there!

    I’ll be happy to help you with your questions!

    If your plan expires, the features that are part of that plan will be turned off. For example, the additional CSS you add will be removed when the plan expires.

    I understand that upgrading to the WordPress.com Premium plan just to add some CSS code may not sound like a great deal. However, you’ll get access to other features as well:

    • If you’re upgrading from the free plan, you can register your own custom domain and set it primary. The first year’s domain registration is included with the yearly plan.
    • The ability to upload video files with an increased total storage of 13 GB.
    • Access to Premium themes. We have three types of themes — Free, Premium, and Partner. Premium themes are available with the WordPress.com Premium plan and above.
    • Additional design options with the ability to use Styles. Also, Custom CSS, as you already know.
    • With the yearly Premium plan, you’ll have access to live chat support on weekdays.
