What happens to the content of my blog if my domain expires?

  • Unknown's avatar

I let my domain expire (quotidiette.com) because I wanted to return to my WordPress.com address (the unpaid version: quotidiette.wordpress.com). I looked, but I didn’t see any indication (or didn’t understand) that I wouldn’t be able to do this.

Now I am being asked to pay $80 to renew my domain name, when all I want is to revert to the unpaid version of my blog and keep my content. Is this possible?
What happens to my content if this isn’t possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

That certainly is possible, you just have to change your domain name from being the primary domain to quotidiette.wordpress.com being the primary!

And in fact I see that you’ve already done so! I can see that quotidiette.wordpress.com is working online already.
