What happens to the RSS feed, when i edit a post?

    hi,
    i want to know what exactly happens to the rss feed, when i edit a post?

    – nothing?
    – the changed post is now changed in the rss feed?
    – the changed post is reposted on top of the rss feed?

    do you understand what i mean? some blogs i subscribed to in my newsreader show up an old post a second (third,…) time when the post had been edited.
    so i hesitate to edit posts, because i dont want this happen.

    perhaps this is also a problem of newsreaders and not of the feed itself.

    The few times I’ve edited a post and actually thought to check the feed, the edited version showed up within an hour or so. Not in addition to but as if the other was never there.
