What happens when I change custom domain to new custom domain on WordPress.com

  For a site hosted on WordPress.com, we have a custom domain name. Now, we need to change to a different domain name.

  1. Is there any way to re-direct the old URLs with the old domain to the new domain name?
  2. If we maintain ownership of the old domain, what happens when someone clicks on an old URL?
