What happens when you close your account
-
What would I lose from closing my account? I want to start a free one because what I have is a paid one. Would I be able to open another free account with a different address?

To close your WordPress.com account, you need to go through the account closure process on your own. This is not something we can do for you.
You can follow the steps here:
Note: This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites associated with your WordPress.com account and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from WordPress.com’s servers and the process cannot be reversed. Therefore, please be certain you want to cancel your entire WordPress.com presence before proceeding.
With that said, I’m showing you already have two free WordPress.com sites under the account you’re currently logged into with no paid upgrades, so you already have a free account.
Did you need help with one of those sites or do you want to create a new one? The more information you can provide with what you want to accomplish, the better able we can help advise.
I hope that helps!
