What if I already bought my domain?

    I just bought my domain. Now, I’m trying to sign up for a WordPress site, but I don’t see an option that doesn’t include a year of hosting. Am I missing something?

    Hi there,

    To use your domain (purchased elsewhere) with a site here on WordPress.com you will need to upgrade to one of the plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    To clarify, our plans include a “domain mapping” upgrade you can use to connect to a domain you have with another company. We do not offer domain mapping as a standalone upgrade, so it must be purchased in one of our plans.

    For free sites without an upgrade, you can use the “wordpress.com” address that is assigned as the time of site creation, but it’s not possible to set a custom domain without first upgrading to one of our plans.
