What if I don't renew
-
So a thought occurred, and has haunted me, last night. What if something happens to me and I don’t renew my WordPress http://www.shadowandflamewithmagik.com webpage? Does it just revert back to the free wordpress.shadowandflamewithmagik.com webpage and lives on there? or does my website eventually just get deleted and there will be no sign of its existence come a few years down the line?
I was just thinking if something happened to me, I wouldn’t mind if my website was still around after I was gone so that my son could get an impression of how big of a nerd I was back in the day.
Thanks!

Every link will be broken. Read these for clarity:

The bottom line is your content will still be there. The domain URL links in the search engines and everywhere online and all internal related links in the blog to the content will be broken. It will take weeks for the search engines to re-index the content under the underlying .wordpress.com URLs that the blog will revert to.

Thanks for the links! Those were super informative.
So the free wordpress version of my domain wouldn’t serve as a safety net? That makes sense, since I bought the domain name so that my blog would have a .com at the end of it but I guess I was hoping the WordPress .org would serve as a backup.

BTW if you are into making a print copy read on. Here are some options for printing an entire blog

oh! I took way to long for my response so the wordpress does work it as a safety net. That’s sort of a relief! I’ll renewal the domain as long as I can still breath but I do worry about what happens afterwards.
Super relief, and thanks for the quick responses!
