What if I upgrade later ?

Hello,
I am just starting with wordpress but I need to know something to go on.
For the moment I am using the free limited version of WordPress, and if I start my blog under these conditions I have to know how will be the upgrade to the professional version. Here is what I want to :– change from ‘myblogsname.wordpress.com’ to ‘myblogsname.com’.
– keep the whole content intact : articles, pictures, comments, …
– be able to design my blog the way I want and personnalize it.
– be able to put ads from Google were I want on my pages.Is that actually possible ? What about the price ? If I host it here ? If I don’t ?

Most of that you can do by purchasing the upgrades from the Store section of your blog’s Dashboard.

I guess it is better for me to download the software from wordpress.org and host it.
Do I need any knowledge in html/php to manage to this ?

You might need a little bit, but it’s more basic knowledge, and worth learning as you go anyway.
