What is ”category navigation“ and is it ok at bottom of page? Or….?

    I see another theme that I like because it looks I can add my own picture header. It is:

    Ocean Mist

    A blueish two-column theme with a large customizable header, visible post author, and category navigation at the bottom.
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Question: What is ”category navigation?“ Is this something that a lot of bloggers do not prefer because it is at the bottom? I realize that this is a very elementary question.

    Most themes have one or more sidebars. Some themes have a bottombar instead. Ocean Mist has a sidebar, but categories in particular are displayed in a bottombar.
