What is a good length for each blog post?

    I am a total newbie to blogging. I come from print journalism—and while I am sure to do some short length pieces—I would like to do some longer form stories and such with some stories being about current issues, some being things like interviews/profiles of musicians and others, stories about interesting places I visit, etc. So my question is—How Long Should Each Post Be?

    If you think a post is getting too long, add some pictures to break up the block of text. Or use the “more” tag to make the front page entry shorter:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

    There is really no technical constraint about how long a post can be.

    But IMO it is difficult to read long blocks of text on my screen without some relief like a picture now and then, or a background color for a paragraph here and there, or something to mark where I left off looking at a long block of text… just so I can blink and not lose my place. IMO only though…
