What is a pingback?

  I just published a new post on my blog, and immediately I get a pingback asking me to approve it? Am I being asked to approve my own posting? Is this a new feature?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Okay, then why is this the first one I’ve ever received? What is different about this post that triggered it? Do I need to approve it for the post to become active?

  You have a reference in your new Post to a Post / Page in your site – that reference link triggered the ping back

  you can approve it if you want or not – the pingback looks like a comment on the other Post / Page
