What is a Reply versus a comment?
-
I am unsure what the difference is between a comment and a reply. I want to comment to a post but I don’t know if I should reply instead.
If someone could define what each means and their functions that would be fab.
Thank you,

Hi Kevin!
A comment is for making a unique thought or comment on a particular blog post. On the other hand, a reply is used when you want to continue a discussion based on another comment that someone else has left. It’s like leaving a comment on their comment and continuing a discussion. Does that make sense? A reply is a specific type of comment directed at continuing a conversation started by a comment from someone else.
I’ve created a short example here to demonstrate the difference:
The middle comment is a reply to the top comment since it addresses the first comment (saying the sky is blue).
Please let me know if you need any further clarification!
