what is a slug?

  I don’t have a problem, i just want advice.

  When i am about to post a blog, i see this section called ‘slug’. What is that? What does it do? Do i need to fill in that field? Does it increase the visibility of my blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Slug is the part of the URL after the date in a post’s URL.
