You can change both your WordPress.com account username (the name you use to login) and your display name (the name that is seen on your posts and comments). Your current username is johnstevensjs
Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name. https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

Thank you timethief. But if I change my username, will other people still be able to find my blog? I have a number of followers I don’t want to lose.
I started posting poetry on a blog in 2009, with both the username and display name showing my own name John Stevens. But I found there are other John Stevenses publishing poetry, so in 2014 I adopted a pen name in honour of my mother and her father: John Looker. Since then I have had a book published and my poetry has started appeared in other books and magazines – all under the name John Looker.
As it feels odd when publications give my website address as johnstevensjs when my work is being attributed to John Looker, I am thinking of changing the user name to match the display name.
But would my followers then find that their links to my blog have disappeared?
I’d be gateful for further advice! John
