What is a "WordPress.com credits"?
-
I wanted to add private registration to a custom domain which is going to expire in March, 2016. I clicked on “Add Private Registration” link in My Upgrades page. In the next page I’m given the option of “Add private registration until March 2017 for $0.00.” That’s weird for a domain that is going to expire in next 4 months!
There’s only one payment option available i.e. “WordPress.com credits”, there’s no Credit Card or no Paypal. When I click on the blue tab saying “Purchase private Registration for Free”, I’m told that I have “Insufficient credits”!
WordPress.com is behaving very erratic for a few days! Now I can’t pay $0.00 if I don’t have sufficient funds!
BTW, I’m still waiting to hear a very unusual problem I’m facing for last 5 days! https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/unable-to-set-a-custom-a-record

@chrisrudzki Thanx. The domain name is snafuing.com.
Could you please also look into the other issue linked in my comment above? That one is more important for me at the moment.

Your domain name is now pointing to GoDaddy. Remember that DNS changes can take up to 48-72 hours to take full effect, so it’s possible that that was the hold up.
As for private registration, that’s been added to your domain. You’ll be charged once your domain comes up for renewal.
Thanks for your patience with this!
